Alizée (born Alizée Jacotey in Ajaccio, Corsica, on August 21, 1984) is a French singer. She is considered to be the protégée of Mylène Farmer, a well-established and successful Quebec-born French singer. Alizée's most popular single was Moi... Lolita which enjoyed success throughout most of Europe and parts of east Asia. Indeed, Alizée's image is that of a seductive Lolita character.
Her name is a little unusual, being the feminine form of alizé, meaning trade wind.
