A tall, dark-haired and handsome player who had previously racked up credits
in television and film, Christopher Gorham achieved his breakthrough as a co-star
of the high school-set series "Popular" (The WB, 1999-2001). After an early
credit on the ABC series "Spy Game" (1997), the actor made his feature debut
in Danny Boyle's 1997 comedy "A Life Less Ordinary". Credits in the TV
series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" (The WB) and "Vengeance Unlimited" (ABC)
followed in 1998, but more memorable was his 1997-1998 recurring role on
Fox's "Party of Five". Here he played Elliott, a boyfriend of Sarah
(Jennifer Love Hewitt)'s who comes to the conclusion that he is gay.

Harrison John, his character on "Popular" also dealt with sexual preference
issues when his mother (Alley Mills) came out as a lesbian. Gorham brought
his charm and skill to the role of Harrison, playing the sarcastic but
highly principled young man who bitingly mocks the ideals of the high school
social hierarchy, but nonetheless harbors a longstanding not-so-secret crush
on head cheerleader and childhood pal Brooke (Leslie Bibb). His next film
role would take him to the island of Tonga, where he played a Mormon
missionary in the adventure "The Other Side of Heaven" (2001). |
