Claire Richards (born 17 August 1977 in Hillington, Middlesex) is a British
singer famed for her membership in the pop quintet Steps. After she and
fellow group mate Ian Watkins (aka. H) resigned during the last leg of their
tour, the two continued singing as a duo. Without the other 3 members of
Steps, they experienced very little success with their album Another You,
Another Me in 2002.

Taking a break from singing to plan her wedding (a marriage which
subsequently failed), Claire never recorded again with H and the duo
dissolved in 2003.

After Steps split in December 2001, she went on to form a duo with fellow
ex-Steps bandmate Ian 'H' Watkins, to record under the name H & Claire. They
launched in early 2002 and achieved three Top Ten single releases in the UK,
before being dropped by their record label due to low CD sales. |
