Daniel MacPherson (born 25 April 1980, in Sydney, Australia) is an
Australian actor and television presenter. Prior to becoming an actor, he
was a triathlete. However, when his agent discovered him, he soon landed the
role of Joel Samuels in the popular soap opera Neighbours, starting in 1998.
Bearing a similarity to his real life, the blond-haired actor's character
was also a budding athlete, until a knee injury.

After leaving the soap in 2002, Daniel travelled to the UK to be in a
British production of the musical Godspell. After that he took on the role
of PC Cameron Tait in the British drama The Bill, which he played from 2003
until 2004.
More recently he went back to Australia to present the Australian version of
the singing contest, The X Factor.
Daniel has posed nude in 2 major magazines. One was for gay men's magazine 'Attitude'
and the Australian women's magazine 'Cleo'. Daniel is something of an icon
to the gay community, despite being heterosexual. |
