Eden's Crush was a girl group created on the American television series
Popstars which aired on the WB Network in early 2001.
The group is best known for their debut single, "Get Over Yourself (Goodbye)",
which debuted on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart at #8. Their album
Popstars was certified gold and peaked at no. 6 on the Billboard 200, but
failed to match the sales of Popstars acts from other countries. The group
featured a multicultural membership of Dominican Republican, Puerto Rican,
Filipino, Hawaiian, Irish, German, and Colombian descent, who all looked
vaguely Latina.

The band's record label, London Sire, folded in 2002. A planned move to
Atlantic Records failed, and with the group floundering, the members decided
to disband and pursue individual interests. A planned Spanish language
version of their debut album was never released.
Los Angeles based female teen pop quintet Eden's Crush was formed after its
members auditioned for the reality series Popstars, broadcasted by the WB
Network. The vocal act's debut album, also titled Popstars, was released by
London-Sire Records in 2001, produced by David Foster and Matthew Gerrard,
and featured a Spanish version of "1000 Words," plus a cover of Sheila E.'s
"Glamorous Life." Eden's Crush became the first female group to debut at
number one on the sales chart with their first single, "Get Over Yourself. |
