Emmanuelle Sophie Anne Chriqui (born December 10, 1977) is a Montreal-born
Canadian actress known primarily for her roles in teen-oriented movies.
Chriqui (whose family name's French-language transliteration is pronounced
Shreeky) was born to Jewish immigrants from Morocco. When she was 6, she
moved to Toronto with her family, including an older brother and sister; she
grew up in Unionville, a suburb northeast of the city.

Film career
Chriqui began her acting career as a 10-year-old in a McDonald's commercial.
She moved to Vancouver in the mid-90's, guest-starring in series such as Are
You Afraid of the Dark?, Forever Knight, Once a Thief, and Psi Factor:
Chronicles of the Paranormal. Her first Hollywood role was as a supporting
character in Detroit Rock City (1999), followed by Snow Day (2000), On the
Line (2001), 100 Girls (2001), and Wrong Turn (2003), among others. In 2005,
Chriqui starred with Usher in In The Mix, appeared in a recurring guest role
on the entertainment-industry television hit, Entourage, and co-starred in
two lesser-seen comedies, Waiting... and National Lampoon's Adam and Eve. |
