1969 Hans Klok was born on the 22nd of February 1969 in Purmerend, a small
village situated on the western side of Holland.
1979 After having received a simple toy store magic-box from his Grandfather
on his 10th Birthday, Hans became increasingly fascinated by the mesmerizing
world of magic and mystery. Where other boys of that age would be playing
with toy cars and wind-up robots, Hans was spending all his out of school
time formulating his first mini magic show. When the other boys were cowboys
and astronauts, firemen and soldiers.

Hans would be Houdini and Okito, Siegfried and Roy! These were his heroes
and were the inspiration for Hans to reach for greater goals. He had one
dream… and one dream only… to be the greatest magician of all time! Even the
great Merlin would one day have to step down, allowing Hans to take the
throne, as the student becomes the Master!
It didn’t take too long before Hans suddenly found himself constantly being
asked to perform with his box of magic tricks at local gatherings and the
Birthday parties of his friends. At only ten years old, this was to be the
beginning of his amazing career in magic and illusions!
1983 After reaching the young age of only 14, and having practiced magic
obsessively for the last four years, he then found himself traveling to
Baden-Baden in Germany to compete in a magic competition, where he won and
became the proud owner of the European Youth Magician Champion Troffee 1983.
1985 This was only the beginning. Now, at 16 and already with a two year
history of winning numerous amounts of awards and troffees throughout Europe
for his achievements in magic, Hans had began busying himself more and more
with the creation of new illusions. Together with his father, he started to
think up, create and to build bigger and better illusions, and in doing so
and unknown to themselves, the first seeds were being sown of what was later
to become the Hans Klok phenomena. A village boy from Holland, who was later
to be reviewed in th news-papers as one of the world’s greatest illusionists
of all time! . |
