Ian Ziering Biography

Ian Andrew Ziering (March 30, 1964 in Newark, New Jersey) is a Jewish-American actor best known for playing Steve Sanders on the television series Beverly Hills 90210. He has also appeared in the television series The Doctors and Guiding Light. He was married to former Playboy Playmate Nikki Schieler Ziering.
A strapping curly-haired blond television lead, Ian Ziering is best known as the well-to-do jock turned newspaper publisher Steve Sanders on Fox's popular long-running drama "Beverly Hills, 90210" (1990-2000) The actor, whose first name is pronounced "EYE-an", began working in commercials as a pre-teen.

He amassed a handful of stage credits, notably as Nils opposite Liv Ullmann in the musical "I Remember Mama" and as John in the national tour of "Peter Pan". From 1986 to 1988, Ziering spent close to three years as an angst-ridden teenage on the CBS daytime drama "Guiding Light" before appearing in several after school specials. Ziering made his big screen debut in Franco Zeffirelli's "Endless Love" (1981) and also appeared in the relatively obscure "Savate" (1997). After his iconic TV series left the airwaves, Ziering appeared sporadically on television in guest spots, and had a memorable image-tweaking role as himself (alongside fellow "90210" alum Brian Green) as one of a pair of hosts of a TV reality series who encounter model-turned-bounty hunter Domino Harvey (Keira Knightley) in director Tony Scott's hallucinogenic "Domino" (2005).

Ziering enjoyed a lucrative side career as a voice actor on various animated series, including "Spider-Man," "Batman Beyond," "Biker Mice From Mars," "Godzilla" and "Mighty Ducks.
