Jami Gertz (born October 28, 1965 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American
actress of Jewish descent. She currently stars in the television series
Still Standing.
She is also best known for her early roles in the movie The Lost Boys, Less
Than Zero and the short-lived 1980s TV series Square Pegs with Sarah Jessica
Parker. Gertz also had supporting roles in the 1996 blockbuster Twister, the
1984 teen film Sixteen Candles, the 1986 film Crossroads and a 1994 episode
of Seinfeld.

Gertz made her film debut (along with Tom Cruise) in the 1981 romance film
Endless Love. In 2002, Gertz played the late comedic legend Gilda Radner in
the television movie Gilda Radner: It's Always Something.
Gertz now lives in Los Angeles with her husband Antony Ressler (since 1995),and
their three sons Oliver, Nicholas, and Theo. She played the lead role in the
2005 film Fighting the odds - the Marilyn Gambrella story. |
