Jared Harris (born August 24, 1961, in London, UK) is an British actor of Irish and Welsh descent. He is one of the three acting/directing sons of the late Irish actor Richard Harris, and his first wife, Elizabeth Rees-Williams (b. 1936 in the UK), an actress of Welsh descent, who was also married to the late Sir Rex Harrison. *** *** His first film appearance was in The Rachel Papers in 1989. More recently he played Dr. Charles Ashford in the movie Resident Evil: Apocalypse. On July 16, 2005, he married Emilia Fox. His brothers are also in the entertainment industry, Damian Harris and Jamie Harris; Jamie was born Tudor St. John Harris, but has been known as Jamie since childhood.
